Getting to Menorca by ferry
Menorca has two ferry ports at opposite ends of the island: Ciutadella in the west and Mahón (Maó) in the east. Which one you sail to matters, because the island is about 45 km long and most routes only serve one of the two. Ferries come from Barcelona, Valencia, Mallorca and, in season, Toulon in France, and nearly all of them take cars, campers and caravans.
- Fastest from Barcelona: Baleària fast ferry to Ciutadella, 3h30 direct or about 5h15 via Alcúdia
- Overnight from Barcelona: to Ciutadella (Baleària, about 9 hours) or Mahón (GNV and Trasmed, about 7h45)
- From Mallorca: Alcúdia to Ciutadella in about 1 hour on the fast ferry, several sailings a day
- From France: Corsica Ferries sails Toulon to Ciutadella, overnight, in season
- Fares: from about €28 to €40 one way from Barcelona and €30 from Alcúdia, foot passenger

How much are the costs if I want to ferry from Toulon for instance to Menorca? Or from Barcelona to Menorca? What kind of price can I expect?
@Mont-Unk
We did a test booking on Corsica Ferries and all ticket prices for ‘foot-passengers’ remain the same at about € 40 to € 50 per person. These ferries aren’t that expensive.
