Our tip

You have a few hours in Dublin: enough for Grafton Street, Temple Bar or a pub lunch, but plan your way back to the port in good time. Places are limited, and the Saturdays in December are likely to fill up first.

Our verdict

A cheap and festive way to spend a day in Dublin, and a nice alternative to a busy shopping centre. Want to go another day? Stena Line’s regular duty-free day trips from £10 run all year.
