Fjord Line Interrail and Eurail discount: 20% off the passenger fare

Checked: 6 October 2026

The deal in one line

With an Interrail or Eurail pass you get 20% off the passenger fare on Fjord Line, all year and on all routes. No code needed: the reduced price appears in the last booking step.

Update, 6 October 2026: Fjord Line and Interrail now both list the pass discount as 20% without a code. The old code HRAIL30 for 30% no longer appears on either site. The discount is a pass benefit, so you need a valid pass on the day you sail and you show it at check-in. It covers the passenger fare and the reclining “air seats” on the MS Stavangerfjord and MS Bergensfjord. It does not cover cabins, meals or other extras, and a booking that includes a vehicle gets no discount at all.

20% off for Interrail and Eurail pass holders
Passenger fare only, no code needed
Fjord Line discount

In a nutshell

  • Saving: 20% on the passenger fare and air seats
  • Code: none. Book via Fjord Line’s Interrail page and the discount shows when you proceed to payment
  • Routes: all Fjord Line routes, including Hirtshals to Kristiansand, Stavanger and Bergen
  • Not included: cabins, meals and extras. Bookings with a vehicle are excluded altogether
  • At check-in: show your Interrail or Eurail pass

Our tip

Hirtshals to Bergen takes about 16 and a half hours overnight. The discount does not cover a cabin, so budget for one, or settle for an air seat if you sleep anywhere.

Our verdict

Less than it was, but still a real pass benefit, which is rare on ferries. Only useful if you travel by train and on foot: with a car you get nothing off. For drivers, the Fill the Car fare to Kristiansand is the better deal.
