From Sweden to Latvia
The ferry from Sweden to Latvia, and vice versa, sails from Nynรคshamn to Ventspils. Nynรคshamn is located near Stockholm in Sweden, and Ventspils is in the northwestern part of Latvia. This route is operated by Stena Line. If you travel by ferry from Sweden to Latvia, the crossing will take approximately 7.5 to 8.5 hours.

Looking to travel from Germany to the Baltics or Latvia? You can sail directly to either Lithuania or Latvia. From Travemรผnde, there is a direct ferry to Liepฤja on the southwestern coast of Latvia. This crossing takes at least 22 hours, so booking a cabin is recommended. You can also bring your car on board.
Stena Line operates the route from Germany to Latvia, as well as the other ferry route to Latvia, from Sweden to Latvia (Nynรคshamn-Ventspils).
Best Way to Travel to Latvia by Ferry
The best way to travel to Latvia by ferry depends on your starting point. You can sail directly to Latvia from either Germany or Sweden. However, if you're travelling from Finland, it might be more convenient to take a ferry to Estonia and then drive south to Latvia.
