Travelers from Germany often combine this Sontbridge with the ferry between Puttgarden and Rodby to get to the island of Copenhagen: Sjรฆlland. Sjรฆlland is connected to Denmark by the Storebรฆltsbroen or Great Belt Bridge and to Sweden by the Sontbridge / Oresundbridge.

There are several popular ferry routes to Sweden from Denmark. The quickest is the ferry Helsingor to Helsingborg or vice versa, a 20-minute crossing over a 5 km route between Sweden and Denmark.
