Under 5s always travel free with Wightlink. In the school holidays the offer extends to older children. It is available online only and the discount shows at the payment stage.
In a nutshell
- October half term: 17 October to 1 November 2026
- Christmas holidays: 12 December 2026 to 5 January 2027
- Who: up to two children aged 5 to 15 per adult or senior
- Ticket: foot passenger day return, booked online
- More children? Make a separate booking for them
Our tip
It works in both directions, so Islanders can use it for a day on the mainland too. With a car, the per-vehicle fare already covers your passengers, so this deal is for trips on foot.
Our verdict
For a family day trip without the car this roughly halves the cost. Check the dates: outside the holiday windows it does not apply.
