In a nutshell

  • Saving: 34% off vehicle and foot passenger fares
  • Who: cars up to 5 m long and 2.24 m high with driver and up to 6 passengers, motorcycles, and foot passengers
  • Tickets: day returns (back by the early hours of the next day), short stays (back Sunday 20 or Monday 21 June after 16:00) and long breaks (back 22 to 25 June)
  • Deadline: book by 2 November 2026 or until the allocation runs out
  • Conditions: mainland to island only, non-refundable, new bookings only, Tesco Clubcard codes excluded

Our tip

Non-refundable means exactly that. If you do not get festival tickets, you lose the ferry fare too, so buy the festival ticket first and the crossing second.

Our verdict

If you are definitely going, this is the cheapest way across with Wightlink. Red Funnel sails from Southampton to East Cowes, so compare its current offers too if you are flexible on port.
