This is not a temporary sale but Eurostar’s standing family fare, and it is the biggest saving most families will find. No code is needed: add the children with their ages in the booking and the child fare is applied.
In a nutshell
- Saving: 30% off peak trains, up to 50% off off-peak trains
- Who: children aged 4 to 11, booked together with an adult
- Under 4: free, without their own seat
- Routes: London to Paris, Brussels, Lille, Amsterdam and beyond
Our tip
The child discount is taken off the adult fare for that train, so it stacks with booking early. A midweek, off-peak train booked months ahead gives you the low adult fare and the 50% child fare together.
Our verdict
Worth knowing before you compare the train with driving. With two or three children and a lot of luggage, the car can still win: see our guide to the ferry to France from the UK.
