About the crossings to Mann

All ferries arrive in Douglas, the Isle of Man's main city, in the southwest of the island.

For travellers from Northern Ireland, ferries depart from Belfast, while Dublin is the logical starting point for those coming from Ireland. Itโ€™s worthย comparingย sailings from these ports, especially if youโ€™re travelling with a car or camper, as this is often much more expensive than travelling as a foot passenger. Choosing a ferry at a quieter time can also be considerably cheaper.

There are two crossings from the UK to the Isle of Man, departing from Heysham (near Lancaster) and Liverpool. As with the Irish crossings, itโ€™s smart to compare options and select the most cost-effective choice.

About the Isle of Man

The Isle of Man, known as Mann, is a self-governing British Crown dependency. The island is perhaps best known for its legendary motorcycle race, the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy (TT). Each year, many motorcyclists take the ferry to experience this infamous event.

Once the motorcycle event concludes, the island returns to its usualย rural and tranquil state, starkly contrasting the high-energy races. However, this quiet charm isnโ€™t for everyone, and the island has faced challenges withย declining tourist numbers. Compared to theย Isle of Wight, the Isle of Man is relativelyย less popularโ€”which, ironically, might make it a perfect choice for those looking toย explore somewhere quieter. 1. Hello,
I would like to know why it seems impossible on the website to book a ferry from Isle of Man to Liverpool between May 17 and June 22 (only the dates before May 17 and after June 22 are available).
    Thanks in advance, best regards.
