The Hull to Rotterdam ferry is an overnight crossing, and until now that meant paying for a cabin. The Sleep Lounge has 36 reclining seats in a separate, quiet lounge. It makes the route cheaper for solo travellers and anyone who can sleep in a seat.
In a nutshell
- Price: from £39 per person, as advertised by P&O
- What: one of 36 Sleep Recliners in a dedicated lounge
- Route: Hull to Rotterdam (Europoort) and back, overnight
- Conditions: subject to availability. Check in the booking what the total comes to with your fare and vehicle.
Our tip
With two or more people a cabin is often still the better deal, because the cabin price is shared. Compare both in the booking before you choose.
Our verdict
A welcome cheaper option on a route where the cabin used to be compulsory. You arrive at Europoort, about half an hour from Rotterdam, with easy roads on to the rest of the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. For a short trip without a car, the mini cruise from £75 is usually better value.
