FerryGoGo Research (we crunch the numbers so you don’t have to)

For a few ferry topics, we publish our own independent research – mostly out of curiosity, and partly because it helps
ferry travellers make smarter choices (and avoid nasty ‘from' price surprises).

Depending on the study, we look at things like:

• Real-world ferry fares (by route, season and operator)
• Value comparisons (per person, per vehicle, per mile / kilometre)
• Day vs night crossings (and when a cabin upgrade actually makes sense)
• Ferry vs alternatives – sometimes including the CO₂ trade-offs, too
• All-round holiday costs (a yearly look at the price of the trip beyond transport-for example
  dinner prices, car hire, and the cost of a drink on a sunny terrace)

Whenever possible, we keep things transparent with clear assumptions and tables you can actually use.
And yes: our numbers are regularly referenced by international media outlets – which keeps us on our toes.

Small note: fares can move fast (season, availability, cabin type, vehicle size), so treat figures as a snapshot – but the patterns and comparisons are exactly what we’re here for.
