From Sweden to Lithuania
There are two different routes from Sweden to Lithuania. You can either travel from Trelleborg to Klaipeda with one of the TT Line ships, or you can sail from Karlshamn to Klaipeda with DFDS. Trelleborg is located at the southern tip of Sweden, while Karlshamn is further north.
The route from Karlshamn to Klaipeda is the quickest, taking around 13 hours to cover approximately 400 km. The Trelleborg-Klaipeda route is longer, covering 540 km and taking about 16 hours and 30 minutes.
On both routes, you can book a cabin and bring your car.
Ferry from Germany to Lithuania
Planning to travel from Germany to the Baltics or Lithuania? You have a few options. Depending on where you live and how much driving you prefer, you can choose to depart from either Rostock, Travemรผnde, or Kiel.
All these ferries arrive in Klaipeda, but the DFDS crossing from Kiel to Klaipeda is the only one without a stopover. The TT Line ferries from Travemรผnde and Rostock both make a stopover in Trelleborg before continuing on to Lithuania.
This makes the ferry from Kiel to Klaipeda the fastest and, in our opinion, the most logical option. You can bring your car and book a cabin on all the ferries from Germany to Lithuania listed below.

There are no direct ferries at the moment from Poland to Lithuania, but you can travel via Trelleborg with the direct ferry from ลwinoujลcie; from Trelleborg, you can board the direct ferry to Klaipeda, which makes it still a good alternative if you live in Poland or travel via Poland to take the ferry to Lithuania.

The best way to travel to Lithuania by ferry depends on where you live. There are three direct routes, without a stopover, from Sweden. These are Trelleborg-Klaipeda and Karlshamn-Klaipeda. From Germany, this is the Kiel-Klaipeda route. All other connections to Lithuania travel via Trelleborg first and then to Klaipeda.
There are 3 ferries to Lithuania from Germany. One direct ferry without a stopover, this is the Kiel-Klaipeda ferry. The other options are to travel from either Travemunde and Rostock to Klaipeda with TT line. These crossings have a stopover in the Swedish city of Trelleborg. These crossings take you to Lithuania in around 16.5 to 24 hours.
From Sweden there are 2 popular routes to Lithuania. You can travel either via Karlshamn or Trelleborg to Klaipeda. Karlshamn to Klaipeda is the fastest route. Trelleborg to Klaipeda is a pretty straightforward route from the Southern tip of Sweden to Lithuania.
No there is no direct connection to Lithuania via Poland. You can travel to Trelleborg from ลwinoujลcie though and travel from Trelleborg further to Klaipeda.ย
